Department of Sociology

History of Department:-

Establishment:- Department of Sociology is established on June 2001 with the opening and our College. The Sociology is working under the faculty of Social Science. In our department students take admission as per University rule. Dr. J. D. Salunke was working as a Full Time Faculty in the department from 2001 till 2018. And from 2018, Dr. Alte S. M. is working as a Full Time Faculty in the department.

Importance:- The study of sociology helps the individual to understand human society and how social system work. Sociology is also important for individuals. It throws light on the problems of the Sociology is popular as a teaching subject in under graduate degree programme.

 Objectives:-

1. To teach students the concepts, theories and methods of the behavioural and social services.
