History of Department :-

A) Establishment

Hindustani Education Society’s Sharadchandra Mahavidyalaya, Shiradhon Tq. Kallam Dist. Osmanabad-413528 was established in the year 2001 and in the same year the department of Hindi came into existence. The Department of Hindi is working under the Faculty of humanities. In our department, the Students take admission as per university rules. Since 2005 Dr. Sayyad A. F. and Dr. Dalve S. M. are working as full time teachers. Dr. Sayyad A. F. is Head of the department of Hindi. Both are interested in literature and phonetics and both have a very sound academic background. Prof. Dr. Dalve S. M. has been awarded M. Phil. and Ph. D. degrees in Hindi. They have a very sound academic background. Our faculties are experienced and very well-versed. We are working hard and dedicated towards achieving newer horizons in the field of education and research.

B) Importance

Our department offer courses in Hindi subject for B.A I, II, III classes. The department offers only UG programs. So far maximum numbers of student have completed their B.A. degree studying Hindi at graduation level in the college. Most of the students of our department have been Teachers and Assistant Professors and doing jobs in different fields. The Department of Hindi sensitizes students towards language and literature learning, thereby fostering skills to promote future professionals in the fields of education, research, business, and publishing. The Department also conducts Skill enhancement course as Hindi subject is taken by students from all over coupling. Our faculty member is not only caring out of the assigned work efficiently but is also committed to academic growth and development of the department.

2)  Objectives:-

1. Hindi is the powerful link language of our country. Majority of the Indian population uses Hindi. It has been enjoying global recognition as well.
2. Our Department aims in providing a good platform for the students to acquire good Knowledge of Hindi language and Literature.
3. It also helps the students to get an exposure to functional aspects of Hindi.
4. Guest Lectures are organized to help the students to understand the beauty and trends of Hindi literature as well as career and functional aspect of the Hindi language.
